What happens in bad weather?
If the forecast calls 100% rain all day, let us know and we can reschedule your event. --- If only light showers are expected, we can always set up our petting zoo in a garage or covered patio.
Can I have a party at a park or a venue?
PARKS ARE NOT A GOOD IDEA
Please check with the venue or park authorities and get permission before you do anything.
Most public parks and pavilions do not allow "exotic" animals on their premises. Some facilities will ask for special liability insurance certificates and/or permits, which we do not require since our animals are completely harmless.
If a Certificate Of Insurance (COI) is required at the location, we cannot provide our services.
Can I change the start time of an appointment?
Saturday and Sunday are busy days with appointments back to back with no time in between, so we cannot change starting time on weekends. Parents plan their weekend events aound the times we provide on our online calendar.
We have more flexibility on WEEKDAYS and (sometimes) can change start time.
How many children can be at the party?
Petting Zoos are recommended for 25 children, or less. --- We provide one-on-one interaction with the children in a petting zoo format. --- We are not a stage show.
How much space for a Petting Zoo Party?
INDOORS:
Any large area (at least 15 x 15) like front porch, garage, or sun room.
OUTDOORS:
A 15 x 15 area is fine for petting zoo. Please note during the summer months, the petting zoo cannot be setup in direct sun on concrete slabs, like patios or driveways - it gets too hot for the animals and uncomfortable for the children as well..
How soon should I book?
Weekends get booked quickly. --- Schedule your event as early as possible to ensure your date & time is available.
